Tubbataha is a reef located in the middle of nowhere. A roughly 10 hour boat ride is needed to make it out to this fantastic reef. Liveaboards leave from Palawan and the trip is worth it. Lots of large sealife, incredibly healthy hard corals with lots of small fishes swimming in and out of the acropora branches. Really an incredibly beautiful reef. We saw whale sharks on many of the dives (most likely the same shark) as it would swim along the wall roughly 50 feet from the wall. These were not the annoying whale shark dives where you sit out in the blue for 60 minutes. Swim along the reef and enjoy the scenery and a whale shark just cruises by within feet if you ignore it and leave it be. Great experience.
