Dominica is an interesting island. It is not a common island for scuba diving. However, the marine park does have some great diving. The area is MASSIVELY over fished. There are very few fish remaining, but there are lots of colorful sponges, crinoids, and crustaceans. Night dives here is crustacean heaven. You will see many different types of crabs, lobster, shrimps and more.
It has been a long time since I have dove here, The island was devastated by a Hurricane recently. This is a location I want to return to as the diving was really good and it will be interesting to see how the reefs have held up. We dove with Nature Island Dive and we HIGHLY recommend them due to the small group size. Most sites are 3-5 minutes from their shop.
